A perfect main dish, which you can combine with vegetables to make a complete puke.
Chicken with Garlic and Honey 🍗🧄🍯
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup of flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 tsp. of salt fumage
- 1 tsp. black pepper fumage
- 1 tbsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. chopped fresh thyme
- 1 tbsp. paprika fumage
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 4 large eggs
- Oil for frying
For the sauce
- 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup of honey
- 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- Chives to decorate
- Sliced chives for garnish
In a bowl place the sifted flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, ground ginger, thyme, paprika and cayenne pepper.
In another bowl, beat the eggs.
Dip the chicken in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Dip in the beaten egg and go through the flour mixture again. Repeat until all chicken breasts are covered.
In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat and cook the chicken breasts for 4 minutes per side, until crisp and golden. Place them on a plate lined with paper napkins.
In a saucepan heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and cook the garlic for about 30 seconds. Add the honey, apple cider vinegar and soy sauce.
Cook over low heat for 8 to 10 minutes, until thickened. Cool slightly.
Dip the cooked chicken breasts in the sauce and cover them completely. Serve garnished with chives and scallions and mixed greens salad.
